Our client, who has secured their position as a global financial firm with sustainable year-on-year growth percentages ranging between 12-16%, is currently offering a chance to lead an Advisory Project Management Office. We are seeking an exceptional Project Manager, with at least four years of working experience in the consulting industry, and who is known for their ability to drive the success of advisory projects for local municipalities.
Our ideal candidate will either have a BA (Hons) or Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional results, as well as a proven track record of delivering technical and operational support on projects that exceed client expectations. You have a deep understanding of financial reporting and analysis, and you are able to integrate these skills into your project management approach to ensure the financial success of each project. Your ability to anticipate challenges, think strategically, and stay ahead of the game has earned you a reputation as a visionary in the advisory industry. You have a passion for identifying and solving complex problems pertaining to a project and have perfected the craft of critically analysing and evaluating information while ensuring that the data outputs are accurate, valid, and reliable.
Your extensive portfolio of project risk management and project control experience is impressive, and it contains the success you have achieved in conducting research that contributed significantly to project execution. You have the ability to drive the advisory objectives of projects and foster business growth by establishing strong partnerships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. You are also able to drive new business by identifying opportunities to expand services to existing clients or by bringing in new clients. Education Requirements
- BCom (Hons) in Project Management / BSc (Hons) in Project Management / Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management
- Project Management Certification is highly beneficial
- In-depth knowledge of the Principles of Project Management gained through the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of consulting experience in the renewable energy industry with a specific focus on providing a consulting service to local municipalities
- You have been involved in the auditing and accounting processes throughout the entire project development cycle to ensure profitable projects
- Business Development experience with excellent client-facing skills
- Ensured that tenders and proposals undergo due diligence to verify that they contain complete and accurate information
- Expertise includes recognizing appropriate tenders for the advisory division and you have done your due diligence by participating in briefing sessions for tenders and communicating feedback to stakeholders
- You have worked with cross-functional teams to ensure that everything runs smoothly and on time
Responsibilities
You'll be the go-to person for all things project-related, from setting timelines and budgets to managing resources and communicating progress to stakeholders. You will be expected to identify, and manage project risks, and ensure that project deliverables meet the client's needs. One of your key responsibilities will be to set up a Project Management Office (PMO) to provide oversight and governance for a diverse portfolio of captivating projects within the advisory business. This will involve establishing project management processes and procedures, defining project metrics and reporting requirements, and ensuring that the PMO is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the business and most importantly, you will ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of each project's progress and outcomes.
You will conduct thorough market research to identify suitable tenders that align with the strategic goals of the advisory business and actively participate in tender briefing sessions to obtain a clear understanding of the tender requirements and assess whether the opportunity is viable for the client. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the client’s team members, clients, and stakeholders. This will involve building trust and credibility, communicating effectively, and managing expectations to ensure that all parties are aligned.
