If you're a motivated professional with a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a background or technical knowledge in the Renewable Energy industry, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in sustainable energy.
As part of this dynamic company based in Johannesburg, you will play a key role in developing new clients and nurturing existing relationships, focusing on Tier 1 Energy Storage Solutions in the South African and African markets. The Business Developer role involves engaging with channel partners, conducting thorough market research, delivering compelling product presentations, and leveraging technical expertise to articulate unique advantages.
The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience in the Renewable Energy sector, with 2 years specifically in BESS and HV batteries technologies. Strong communication skills, from engaging engineers to interacting with procurement teams, are essential. Demonstrating a proven track record in sales and adeptness in crafting tailored strategies to address diverse customer needs, you will play a pivotal role in customer interactions, contract negotiations, and pricing proposals. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of client interactions, technical information, and provide regular reports. Staying abreast of industry trends through conferences and publications is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
As a Business Development professional, your role encompasses the maintenance and cultivation of existing key account relationships, along with acquiring and nurturing new customers. It will be your responsibility to document and enhance these client interactions through the submission of regular sales reports. Meeting or surpassing set sales targets is an expectation, achieved by developing existing key accounts and acquiring new customers. Your duties extend to negotiating with new clients and establishing pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations with both new and existing clients. A comprehensive understanding of the company's products and promotions is crucial to accurately assess the needs of potential customers and effectively promote products and services.
