Description

Our client is looking for a Business Developer with an entrepreneurial spirit who will hit the ground running to help them remain leaders in the solar space. You need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a good understanding of solar financial products under the PPA model!

The person our client is looking for will have a relevant degree along with 5+ years of sales experience within the solar industry in South Africa – C&I rooftop space is beneficial. You will also need to have a sales track record and be well networked with clients and partners in order to tap into the C&I sector. Ideally, you are someone who’s creative, innovative and enjoys finding new ways to do things. You need to have the technical ability to create, sell and explain techno-commercial proposals to a non-technical client audience as well as be comfortable working in the digital realm. As the Business Developer, your responsibilities will include meeting quarterly sales KPIs to support the company’s pipeline in Africa, forming key account relationships with EPCs, channel partners and customers, forming the sales team by supporting the management team identify market trends and strategies, and supporting the marketing team with all relevant meetings and events. Additionally, you will be required to frequently travel to meet clients – do not apply if you aren’t happy to do so.

  • 5+ years of sales experience within the solar industry in South Africa – C&I rooftop space is beneficial

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • IT proficient, especially with Microsoft Office, CRMs and remote working applications
