Our client is a leading global solar project developer, managing IPP assets across various regions in the northern hemisphere. They are currently seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to join their expanding team in London.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, technical, law, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in the energy sector with M&A expertise
- Showcase a nuanced understanding of the authorization process, navigating zoning, environmental/building codes, and land/grid connection conditions with ease
Responsibilities
- Evaluating energy initiatives from both economic and legal perspectives is crucial for success in this position
- Contribute to the recognition, examination, and evaluation of solar projects for investment
- Engage in negotiations and finalize lease agreements
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain all required permits for constructing and operating solar facilities
- Work closely with engineers on the technical design of each plant
- Foster relationships with local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with legal, tax, technical, and insurance consultants
- Oversee projects until they attain a ready-to-build status, which includes active participation in the auction and sales process
Skills
- Demonstrated capability to work autonomously and take a proactive approach in engaging with stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills, encompassing expertise in MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
- Fluent in English
- Possession of a Category B driving license
