Design Engineer – Solar – Cape Town

Our client is looking for a meticulous Design Engineer with 2+ years experience in C&I within the solar industry. You are the perfect fit if you have a B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering and are skilled with software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and PVsyst. This exciting role will see you creating precise designs for rooftop and ground-mount solar PV projects, carrying out comprehensive site visits as well as forecasting PV outputs through using above mentioned software. You will need strong interpersonal skills as you will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors when required. Your uncanny ability to deliver high-quality outputs will ensure expectations are exceeded! Additionally, you are the perfect candidate if you are a non-linear thinker and problem solver who is able to apply their knowledge and expertise concerning different technologies to the design of solar PV systems. Please note, having a driver's license and own transport is non-negotiable.

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering

• 2+ years experience in a similar role within the C&I solar industry
• Must have worked on projects from 150KW to 20MW (latter is ideal)

• Results and system driven
• Well organized
• Great attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients
• IT proficient, especially with MS Office
