Fibon Energy, founded in 2012, is a South African energy company that develops clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial companies in South Africa.
We provide a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) service and develop energy solutions that require no upfront costs from our clients. We own, operate and maintain Solar Systems offering an alternative to ownership and capex purchases through our Fibon Solar PPA. We own, operate and maintain >R100 million of Solar Systems across South Africa. With R450M of Solar Systems starting construction in 2023.
We are a close-knit team, entrepreneurial by nature and results-driven. We are building our engineering team and are looking for an Electrician to support our Engineers and Technicians. We are a performance-driven culture and reward our team members. We are based in Johannesburg.
Education Requirements
- N3 – N6 Electrical Engineering
- Trade test or Wireman’s license will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Mandatory experience (1 years+) in the South African solar industry working in rooftop, ground mount or carport projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) companies
- Adequate knowledge of using measuring tools i.e multimeter, load logger, etc
- Comfortable working on live distribution boards
Responsibilities
- Installing measuring tools as prescribed by the Fibon Engineer or Technician
- Site measurements for installation preparation
- Updating data logged from monitoring platforms on a daily basis
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on site and in office
- Installation of control and protection devices where necessary
- Site supervision of construction
- Testing of systems during commissioning phase
- Leading O&M Team technicians on site
Skills
- Proficient in English
- Driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
