We are on the hunt for someone exceptional, a bit of a unicorn… are you the ESG Strategy & Systems Specialist we are looking for? We have a brilliant opportunity for a strategically minded ESG wizz to provide unparalleled value to the emerging market projects of our client. They have worked on some of the most exciting and largest projects across the globe (infrastructure, telecoms, cleantech etc.), assisting funders, donors and investors to make meaningful investments. In essence, you will be the expert that enables key stakeholders to action on high-level decisions that make a real difference to the planet, and people’s lives. If you are the person we are looking for, you will have 6+ years of consulting experience, and more specifically – 3+ years of experience directly in the finance space. If you are the ideal candidate for this opportunity, you will find yourself developing and implementing strategy, policy and frameworks that speak to the client’s FI management systems, capacity building and training objectives. You will be a pro when it comes to due diligence and performance monitoring, management, and reporting of the ESG strategies. Your communication skills will be excellent as you find yourself engaging with a variety of stakeholders and leading a junior team under you.

• Masters degree and/or qualifications in the fields of science, business and or economics

• 6+ years of consulting experience
• 3+ years of experience directly in the finance space
• Proven experience using ESG standards including; IFC Performance Standards, TCFDs, Equator Principles, GRI, UNEP FI Principles, SDGs, SA Green Finance Taxonomy, EU Sustainability Finance Taxonomy, ICMA Principles, 2X Challenge, SASB
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing FI Management systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Robust staff management and stakeholder management skills
• Brilliant analytical skills
• IT literate, especially with MS Office
