Are you a motivated Field Applications Engineer with stellar technical expertise? Do you have practical experience when it comes to energy storage, distributed electric systems and energy management applications? The ideal candidate will have a BSc and preferably a MEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of engineering, with 6 – 8 years of experience working with solar inverters or power electronics, and at least 2 of those years configuring and implementing storage systems. You need to have an in-depth understanding of PV and energy storage system economic modeling and performance, a willingness to implement as well as articulate the importance of best practices in operations, and the ability to use your expert knowledge and interpersonal skills to engage with partners and various technical teams.

Your main responsibilities will be identifying and overseeing the onboarding process with potential partners, including populating their information onto Salesforce, presenting company technology and information, and assessing their business to develop strategies to implement relevant technology. You will be expected to develop standard BOMs, design guides, technical briefs, line diagrams, and technical training programmes, conduct customer-facing NPI activities and Technical Product Adoption programmes, and provide feedback to Product Development teams and Product Management regarding Customer Technical Requirements. You will need to conduct field testing and coordinate feedback on new software and hardware, constantly be on the forefront of new product innovations in the solar market, and to create viable strategies to gain new accounts.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc and preferably a MEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience configuring and implementing storage systems
  • 6+ years of experience with solar inverters or power electronics
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Practical skills and experience with energy storage, energy management applications and distributed solar electric systems
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts
  • Understanding of industrial design principles is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES
