Situated in Cape Town, we are seeking an adept Financial Manager with a wealth of experience and a hands-on approach to lead our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record in strategic financial planning and analysis. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with overseeing and ensuring the proficient execution of essential financial functions, encompassing FP&A, Budget Management, Financial Reporting, Cash Flow Management, Risk Management, Team Leadership and Development, Strategic Planning, and Compliance and Auditing.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- An Honours qualification is advantageous.
- A Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA would be a plus.
- 2-5 years post-articles experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a Financial Manager or a similar role.
Your responsibilities would encompass budget management, involving collaborative budget development with department managers to align with organisational goals. Utilising financial data and market trends, you'd need to contribute to setting realistic financial targets. Your role would be integral in leveraging historical data and market trends to provide insights crucial for strategic decision-making. Engaging in in-depth financial analysis, your role would compare sales revenue, production costs, and marketing expenses.
A large portion of your role would encompass financial reporting and you would be required to supervise the preparation of monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to form part of your executive summaries for senior management. Your role would need to oversee cash flow management, monitoring and forecasting. You would also be responsible for identifying and managing financial risks to the company, assessing and building strategies to limit them.
Ensuring company compliance will be within your responsibilities, including conducting regular audits. Staying abreast of financial regulatory changes, you will also be tasked with integrating any necessary adjustments throughout your financial team and their practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

- Advanced understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- A proven proficiency in financial software, e.g., Xero and SimplePay
- Skilful in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
