We have a fantastic opportunity for an Investment Analyst to support our client’s activities in Africa. Our client works towards mitigating and building resilience to climate change, so it’s important that you only apply if your motivates align with their mission.

The person best suited for our client is someone who is invested in their work and takes pride in what they do, someone with outstanding intellectual and conceptual abilities and takes the time to ensure only the highest quality of outputs is produced. To apply, you will need an Honours degree in Finance or similar along with 3+ years of work experience within the investment banking or private equity sector. We want to see your proven track record of working in emerging markets in Africa! It is non-negotiable that you have robust financial modelling skills, the ability to plan and prioritise effectively, and can approach problem-solving in an analytical, pragmatic and creative manner. As the Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating input required for reports for investors and the board, preparing investment proposals for the investment committee, being the knowledge manager for the transaction database, carrying out and maintaining documentation management systems, and supporting transactors across all facets of activities and process life cycles.

Education Requirements

Honours Finance degree or similar

Experience Requirements

3+ years of work experience within investment banking or private equity

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include conducting research on energy markets across the region, carrying out due diligence work-streams, preparing investment proposals for the investment committee, overseeing processes associated with compliance, governance and internal approvals, and conducting financial analysis of potential financing structures.
