Description
Are you based in Zambia with experience in project management and community liaison? We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning more about renewable energy and microgrids. This could be an ideal opportunity for you to work with a leader in rural electrification working towards bringing, AC, grid-level-or-better power to 130,000 Zambians in the next year.
The prime candidate will be an organised and dynamic individual with 1-3 years of experience in team and project management, as well as working with local government and communities in Zambia. Excellent solemn people skills and communication skills in English, Nyanja and Bemba are required, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, and a valid driver's licence with at least 2 years of experience driving your own vehicle.
You will be collaborating with local customers and community leaders and ensuring customer satisfaction with local communities, customer research and data analysis, monitoring marketing activities and their impact, training Microgrid Managers on-site, and correlating with the local and national government regarding vandalism and theft in communities.
This is the perfect fit for an individual with extensive knowledge of Zambian communities and who is willing to travel across the country every quarter.
Education Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from a recognized university
Experience Requirements
- Experience in improving customer service issues and implementing sales strategies
- Knowledge and experience of local and national Zambian communities and government officials
- Experience in working with existing, as well as designing new, formal business process controls
Responsibilities
- Overseeing teams and projects
- Liaising with community members, leaders and government
- Surveying customers, reporting on data analysis and presenting data and insights to relevant
- Implementation of solutions with community leaders and customers
- Corresponding with Operations the technical operations to ensure community satisfaction
- Clear and timely budget management in line with company policy
- Compliance with SMG code of conduct and values
- Train, recruit, and maintain relationships with Microgrid Managers
- Travel to various sites for Intervention and Operation trip
- Correlating with the local and national government regarding vandalism and theft in communities.
Skills
- Fluent in written and verbal communications in English, Nyanja and Bemba
- Notable computer literacy skills
- Enthusiastic about renewable energy, energy services and learning about microgrid business
- Positive attitude within the work environment, towards teams and clients
- Dynamic approach to assisting in other business operations outside of the core role
- Must possess a valid driver's licence with 2 - 4 years of experience driving your own vehicle
