So, what will you be doing in a nutshell?
- Design, develop, and commission custom test fixtures and jigs, or manage their procurement.
- Optimize production systems by automating data capture and testing processes.
- Conduct quality inspections, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Offer technical support for assembly processes, including PCB, enclosure, and cable assembly.
- Document production workflows, tooling, and quality control standards.
- Analyze production data, report key metrics, and highlight opportunities for improvement.

Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electronics, electrical or mechatronic engineering
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years experience in the design, construction, commissioning, and procurement of custom assembly fixtures, jigs, and production equipment for large-scale manufacturing
- Proficient in basic PCB design (using KiCAD or similar tools) and skilled in reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes
- Strong Python programming skills, particularly for creating scripts to automate and test production workflows
- Familiarity with CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to develop 3D printable jigs for optimizing production processes
- Experienced in soldering (both through-hole and surface mount) and proficient with a variety of hand and power tools, demonstrating strong DIY skills in the design, construction, and assembly of electrical and mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other testing devices
- A strong systems-oriented mindset with the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate technical concepts
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to work independently
- Experience connecting connecting cloud storage databases and managing production test results
- Proven SQL or database management experience is key
- A thorough, methodical approach to solving problems and addressing technical issues
- Exposure to read and comprehend C, with further exposure to Arduino or other applicable platforms to assess production software
- Must have experience with modern automation and git and CI pipelines code tooling
