The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager or project developer with a background in renewable energy project development. You need to have a degree in engineering and specifically have Section 36 Consenting experience. We’re looking for a passionate development professional with excellent stakeholder management skills and an impressive track record of projects developed.

As the Project Developer, you will be responsible for successfully developing large capital wind energy projects from conception through to construction.  You will take all projects through the key planning stages including scoping, submitting planning applications, and Section 36 Consents as well as subsequent addendums.

• Degree in engineering or renewable energy

• 6 - 8 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a specific focus on project development and project management
• Experience in working with utility-scale onshore or offshore wind projects, or solar projects
• A track record of successfully developing and delivering large capital renewable energy projects from conception to consent and ready for construction
• Experience in taking projects through the key planning stages including scoping, submitting planning applications, the Planning Act and Section 36 consents

Responsibilities include managing the early stages of renewable energy development projects, including site identification, land acquisition, and permitting. The Project Developer will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including landowners, regulatory agencies, and local communities, leading diverse teams, including engineers, consultants, legal counsel, and financial associates to ensure project success, conducting feasibility studies and due diligence on potential energy projects to assess technical and economic viability, monitoring and managing project budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, negotiating agreements, and project contracts.
