Project Manager (C&I) – Solar – Cape Town

The ideal candidate will have a BTech Engineering degree with 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, specifically in the Solar Rooftop industry. You need to have at least 3 years of experience in the Solar Rooftop sector and be knowledgeable in Helioscope or PVSyst solar design software. This role is well suited for a client-focused individual with strong business acumen whose interests lie primarily in green energy production. You need to have excellent communication skills with a hands-on approach, and be willing to work on all levels.

As the Project Manager, you will assume responsibility for all Project Management activities for Solar PV project installation. You will be responsible for all technical, contractual, and financial management of projects. You will manage the planning of all projects including the facilitation of external aspects such as putting teams together and logistics (vehicles, flights, equipment, planning of routes and accommodation). You will manage teams and deadlines, monitor construction and operations, perform technological assessments, provide project development assistance, and manage on-site project delivery activities.

• BTech Engineering or a similar degree is required

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management, specifically in the Solar Rooftop field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in the Solar Rooftop industry
• Be knowledgeable in Helioscope/PVSyst solar design software
• Ability to understand complex technical and financial setups
• Interested in the energy sector and the green technologies

Responsibilities include managing teams and deadlines, planning of projects from putting teams together, to all logistics, managing all technical, contractual, and financial aspects of projects, monitoring construction and operations, technological assessments, managing subcontractors, procurement participation, managing project budgets and on-site project delivery activities, ensuring communication with suppliers, clients and other stakeholders, assisting in improving supply chain management, supervising on-site technicians during O&M activities, contributing towards sales support and upholding the company’s values.
