The ideal candidate needs to have a degree in business administration or engineering, a master’s is a plus, at least 10 years of experience in the sales of solar PV modules, and 5 years of experience in leading a team. You need to have exceptional knowledge of regional markets and key players, experience in utility-scale and C&I projects, notable analytical skills, flexibility with travel and working under pressure, the ability to motivate and collaborate with the team, and solid communication and intercultural skills. You need to be fluent in English, and any other language is a plus.
As the Sales Director, you will need to develop strategies for business growth in the SSA and MENA region and translate these strategies into tangible KPIs, generate sales of PV modules, establish and maintain relationships with key customers and potential customers, collaborate with Sales Operations, Planning and Credit teams, and ensure high customer satisfaction at all times. You will need to represent the company brand in front of sales accounts, act as regional manager in the Cape Town office, identify and engage with new business opportunities to accelerate growth, and ensure compliance with internal processes and policies.
