They are now expanding their enterprise to Germany and are seeking a dynamic professional with an embedded understanding of the German energy market, grid infrastructure, and permitting requirements to join their innovative team.

    Proficiency in both German and English is essential to be successful in your application. You should bring 6-8 years of hands-on experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, coupled with in-depth knowledge of the German energy market and its intricacies. Your track record should reflect successful engagement in greenfield projects involving solar, wind, and BESS technologies. Additionally, a well-established network within the German energy sector is highly desirable.

    As a Business Development Manager, your role involves leading the development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects in Germany. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing critical project elements, including permitting, land acquisition, grid connection, route to market, and stakeholder engagement. Leveraging your extensive German market network, you will identify and capitalize on strategic business opportunities. Your ability to drive projects from inception to successful sale, supported by a history of project completion, is crucial to the role.

    To thrive in this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Business. Your career journey should include a proven track record in developing and selling renewable energy projects. As an independent thinker with the confidence to explore new markets, you possess a strong grasp of grid connection processes and requirements. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will be key assets in this role.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s and/or Master´s Engineering degree

    Experience Requirements

    • 6-8 years of experience in business development with a focus on developing greenfield projects from shovel to sale
    • Relevant experience in developing solar and wind projects in Germany and internationally.
    • Experience with PPA and project finance
    • Technical proficiency in project origination, permitting, engineering, and financial modeling
    • Experience designing and/or analysing technical performance of renewable energy projects


    In this position, your primary focus will be on expanding our client's footprint in the German market. Your responsibilities will involve identifying suitable land for potential projects, ensuring compliance with grid capacity requirements, and taking charge of the initiation and development of renewable energy greenfield projects.

    A comprehensive understanding of grid constraints and accessibility will be essential for success in this role. Your duties will extend to overseeing and actively contributing to standard project development tasks, such as permitting, engineering, and financial modeling. Collaboration with a small yet highly skilled team will be integral to ensuring the seamless development of projects from inception through to the sales stage.
