    Are you a high-level executive looking for your next challenge? Our client, an established global brand in the carbon and cleantech industries, is seeking an experienced Commercials Director that that can lock-down multiple existing long-term distribution agreements and strategic alliances (someone with proven international experience in securing high stakes contracts).

    If you have over 10 years of experience in a senior management or leadership role within the carbon offset industry, then you might be perfect for this role. We’re looking for someone who has a proven track record in successfully creating opportunities and partnerships that ordinary people wouldn’t envision. This calls for an individual who has a well-established network within the aid, development, and carbon industries.

    Our client is looking for a naturally creative mind to join their dynamic team of world-class designers and engineers. Someone strategic that isn’t afraid to colour outside of the lines. The carbon offset industry is a fast-paced, constantly shifting environment and so this role calls for a candidate with an agile and analytical mind. Someone bold that can convince just about anyone to jump on board a project whilst simultaneously questioning their own assumptions. The ideal candidate would need to be a strong leader and confident representative of our client at international events and conferences. At these events, you would easily move through the room, shaking hands and locking-in unique partnerships. This type of business environment demands versatility.

    You might be comfortable in a suit, but can you interact with communities that aren’t part of the 1%? Imperative to this role is a passion for both social and environmental transformation on an international scale.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Development Studies, or other business-related fields is not negotiable
    • Master’s in business administration (MBA) is preferable
    • Proven track record of B-to-B operations management and development

    Experience Requirements

    • 9+ years of experience in a senior management or leadership position
    • 4+ years of professional experience in developing partnerships and management of professional relationships
    • Business development experience with durable consumer goods and services in lower-income communities

    Responsibilities

    As the ideal candidate for this role, your responsibilities would include developing and implementing an annual business plan that encompasses budgets, profit and loss planning, and general sales operations. Each of these elements affects the overall bottom line.

    Other responsibilities include ensuring that the overall development of the business is continuous. This will be achieved through managing key accounts, maintaining new and old partnerships, and implementing strategic planning. Part of this process includes working closely with our client’s marketing team to create pitch content that will assist you in precuring multi-million-dollar alliances and projects.

    Skills

    • Excellent orator and presentation skills
    • French speaking would be an advantage
    • Able to work with a versatile pool of people (from regional to international level)
    • Project and campaign design capabilities
    • Strong research ability
