The ideal candidate needs to have a Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering with 10+ years of experience in engineering design and consulting, preferably in a renewable energy space with technology such as battery storage, LED lighting and/or solar PV. You need to have excellent communication and organisation skills, the ability to effectively manage and motivate various engineering and investment teams, be proficient in relevant engineering software such as PVSyst and AutoCAD, and have the ability to effectively design, test and implement technical engineering designs.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and review of new energy technology and projects, testing and optimising existing technology, assisting in developing and optimising budgets, engaging with clients on business objectives and needs and developing energy-efficient strategies, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. You will need to create mockups, sketches, drafts and blueprints using a wide variety of materials, and research production and manufacturing feasibility and present findings to the team.
