We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner with a passion for renewable energy and a track record of successfully managing complex environmental assessments. This position offers the perfect balance of technical expertise and environmental advocacy.

In this role, you will be managing high-profile EIA and ECO projects, and we need you to do this with precision and excellence. You will oversee compliance with SEMA requirements, Equator Principles and sustainability best practices. Besides the environmental aspects, you will also be responsible for generating new business and serving as the company's representative at key industry events!

• EAPASA Registration
• Relevant Environmental Degree

• 4-5 years of experience in the private sector
• Expertise in renewable energy, environmental auditing and impact assessments

• Project Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage the Environmental Services (ES) Team Project Portfolio, ensuring project oversight, quality control, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead the Environmental Services Team, Bird & Bat Monitoring Team, and SDOD Team, maintaining high-quality standards, meeting deadlines, and ensuring regulatory compliance with SACNASP and EAPASA
• Business Development & Client Engagement: Identify and drive new business opportunities in ecological assessment and monitoring while strengthening client relations and ensuring service excellence
• Operational Systems & Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient operational systems to enhance service delivery and team productivity
• Training & Thought Leadership: Design and implement training programs on EIA, legal compliance, due diligence, and sustainability while representing the company at key industry events
• Product & Service Innovation: Drive the development of new product offerings within environmental services to expand the company’s portfolio
• Financial & Budget Oversight: Prepare fee proposals, tenders, and scope of work while tracking project budgets and costs to ensure financial efficiency
• Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure company registration on strategic tender databases in South Africa and Africa, maintaining compliance with industry standards
• Partnership & Brand Development: Strengthen strategic partnerships, enhance brand presence, and support project recruitment and business expansion initiatives
• Administrative & Logistical Support: Provide general administrative, logistical, and project support to optimize company operations
