The ideal candidate needs to have an independent and deadline-driven work ethic with at least 2 years of experience in business development and/or B2B sales. Experience in C&I solar markets and/or renewable energy financing operations is a MUST! You need to have an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to easily work in dynamic environments. We really want to know about any significant renewable projects you’ve been involved in before, so be sure to include your impressive track record in your application!

Your main responsibility will be ensuring the closing of deals and recognizing and establishing inbound leads. Key tasks will be making first contact with customers which will be the main focus of this role. You will be overseeing the end-to-end process for various projects, engaging with customers regarding existing and pipeline proposals, and will be required to travel to meet with clients. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A BTech degree or a BCom in a Business related field
  • Honours degree is highly advantageous

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in a business development role
  • Motivated approach to closing deals
  • Experience in a B2B sales and/or a business development role in the renewable energy sector
  • Confident in managing potential and existing leads
  • Experience in C&I Solar and/or end-to-end pipeline management 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include engaging with customers regarding potential leads or service on current deals, spending time networking and communicating with potential leads at various events and conferences, overseeing the end-to-end process for various projects and preparing and presenting business proposals for clients. 

SKILLS

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus

His expertise caters to M&E activities, project management, impact analysis and assessments of funded water and renewable energy programmes that “enlighten” and uplift communities in rural Africa.
