We have an exciting role for a Solar Sales Solutions Engineer. Your role will be a combination of technical design (30%) and sales (70%) which includes business development and account management) which will ensure the expansion of our clients services into the C&I as well as residential solar space!
You’re the right person for the job if you have a degree in Electrical Engineering or sales related qualification paired with 3+ years of rooftop solar sales experience in South Africa. The ideal person for this role will have at least 1+ years experience in basic solar PV design. It is vital that you have good industry knowledge, and an understanding of how each component of a PV systems fits together to provide clients with an optimal yield - in the most cost effective manner.
As our client moves into a new realm where they not only selling products but also a turnkey solar PV solution, the ideal candidate is someone who is innovative, creative, speaks openly and enjoys finding new ways to increase sales. As the Solar Sales Solutions Engineer, your responsibilities will include providing technical design on proposals, liaising with channel partners and clients, and driving the firms financial growth. This role will also require travel within South Africa, but predominantly across the Western Cape. We are looking for someone who has some experience in management, implementing best practice sales processes and is keen to grow into a Sales Manager position and develop a sales team under them. You need to be a go-getter, able to work independently and engage well with clients. In a perfect world, this individual would have worked their way up from being a technician and have moved into a sales role over the last few years.

- Electrical Engineering degree and or sales related qualification
- 3+ years of rooftop residential and C&I solar experience in South Africa
- Solar sales experience is key
- Must have basic solar design experience and strong understanding of solar products which best optimize the performance of PV systems and meet client yield and budgetary needs
Your responsibilities will be to drive sales and set the firm up for rapid growth where you will find yourself quickly moving into a management position.
