The ideal candidate needs to have a degree in engineering and preferably experience in the development of renewable energy projects. You have to have a meticulous and output-driven work approach, a sound understanding of project development and optimization processes, and competency in relative software. You must have a clear understanding of the wind and solar process to take the lead on a project which is in the transition period/already being sold to the client. You will be engaging with various stakeholders such as project managers and investors, so excellent communication skills are essential! Any prior grid experience with a commercial and technical collaboration with ESKOM regarding national grid connection is highly beneficial.

Your key responsibilities will include managing the solar and wind resource profiles in order to develop and build a portfolio of projects (including following the metmast fleet and EYA), identifying and securing various deals and opportunities, completing amendments on projects to optimize capacity, continuously updating relevant stakeholders on project development progress, and overseeing the final development of the projects once the project managers obtain authorization. You will be involved in the final sign-off on how to accommodate the grid constraint, the wind regime, the wake effect and/or the last modification on the projects regarding any requests from the client. You will engage, follow and (where necessary) challenge all commercial and technical discussions with ESKOM regarding how to connect the projects to the grid, amend lease agreements, update applications of the CAA, change the layout of the project, etc. You will be dedicated to these later-stage aspects of the project

• Degree in the field of Engineering
