As they are committed to delivering dependable and affordable power services to communities in South Africa and its Sub-Saharan neighbours, with over 2000 customers to date. Utilizing cloud-based grid management software, our remote technical support team gains the ability to oversee the performance of numerous grids from a single central location. This empowers them to remotely address challenges that surpass the technical capabilities of the local management, ensuring seamless troubleshooting and optimization.

As Technical Product Manager, you will craft and communicate an inspiring product vision and strategy for their proprietary grid management technology. The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter that will take control of the full Product lifecycle, from product road maps to post-launch product management. Collaborate seamlessly with hardware, software, design, and QA experts to orchestrate perfect project and product alignment. Your extensive technical acumen including power metering, IoT, databases, and security will be the guiding light for teams that you will be collaborating with. A technical background in IoT and managing technical electrical problems, in particular, is a major component, as part of the product’s main functionality revolves around remote access. Meticulously develop and manage intricate project plans and navigate risks whilst ensuring punctual product delivery. The ideal candidate will focus on user-centric design, collaborating harmoniously with development and design teams to enhance user experience (UX) and usability while also delving into market research analysis to ensure that the South African markets needs are met. You will keep your finger on the pulse of customer needs, which will ultimately drive product decision-making. Part of your responsibility is to oversee the post-launch performance of the grid management product while monitoring and collecting user feedback. • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager in backup power, home automation, or IoT
• Strong expertise in power metering, databases, dashboard development, and IoT protocols
• A track record of executing product roadmaps, delivering on schedule and within budget
