You need to have a qualification in a BEng, preferably MEng, and at least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy environment. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of solar and wind EPC and O&M agreements, a background in power systems, an understanding of the relevant technical codes, regulations and standards relating to the development of renewable energy projects, and the ability to optimise overall business from a technical design and execution perspective. You need to be able to work under pressure and within deadlines, have an organised and meticulous work approach, and have excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities will include facilitating feasibility and front-end engineering studies, site studies, and PV and HV technical preliminary design and design specifications in contracts and procurement, overseeing the technical interface between the various work packages required for project development, ensuring technical compliance with project documents, managing the development of technical concepts and solutions of the projects, and engaging with clients. You will need to create presentations and periodic reports with the progress status of the projects, be in charge of the procurement process of contractors and technical advisors to perform services under the relevant EPC and O&M agreements, and oversee the process of procuring access to transmission and grid infrastructure with governmental authorities.
