• A background in engineering is preferred.

• 2 - 5 years of experience in renewable energy with ample wind project experience
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

As a Wind Developer, with a specific emphasis on wind projects, the ideal candidate’s responsibilities involve overseeing and supporting the overall greenfield project development efforts. This includes the design of preliminary wind farm layouts to facilitate pre-screening, energy yield modelling, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) activities. You would also play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding junior team members as they engage in project development tasks, such as acquiring necessary approvals and permits, coordinating with external consultants, liaising with Eskom for grid connection and conducting site assessments. Additionally, you would be tasked with the preparation of stakeholder reports and presentations, as well as supporting new business development initiatives within the region.

This candidate would be responsible for managing and updating project budgets and schedules, as well as aiding in the selection of consultants and contractors. Furthermore, you would oversee the procurement process for securing access to transmission and grid infrastructure, either through Eskom or other relevant governmental authorities. Your role necessitates meeting stringent project deadlines while effectively managing resources to remain within budget constraints.
