Intermediate BIM Modeler

Our client, a well-established consulting engineering firm in Windhoek, is seeking a BIM Modeler to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Autodesk Revit experience who enjoys working on multidisciplinary building projects and collaborating with engineers, architects, and other technical professionals. While the role supports both Mechanical and Electrical building services, there is a stronger focus on Mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for Mechanical and Electrical building services using Autodesk Revit.

  • Assist with multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.

  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with internal and external project teams.

  • Produce construction drawings, layouts, schedules, and model-based documentation.

  • Create and maintain Revit families and BIM content libraries.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows.

  • Coordinate models with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.

  • Ensure model quality, accuracy, and compliance with company BIM standards.

  • Provide drafting support using AutoCAD and, where required, Plant 3D.

Requirements

  • Draughting qualification or relevant technical qualification.

  • BIM or Autodesk/Revit certification.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years' BIM modelling experience within a consulting engineering environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Exposure to Plant 3D will be advantageous.

  • Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Wet Services, Fire, and electronic building systems.
