AltGen is recruiting on behalf of a leading international energy company for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team on a 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in construction and infrastructure projects to support the successful delivery of high-value energy projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in administering and managing a range of commercial contracts across construction and operational phases, ensuring contractual compliance, supporting commercial activities, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer EPC, O&M, PPA, lease, service level, and long-term service agreements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, key milestones, and critical deadlines.

  • Prepare, issue, and maintain contractual notices and notice registers.

  • Manage contract variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes.

  • Support contract negotiations, amendments, and implementation.

  • Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.

  • Review invoices, payment milestones, and supporting documentation.

  • Raise purchase orders for approved agreements.

  • Coordinate cost certificates with project finance and finance teams.

  • Conduct cost analyses, commercial evaluations, and pricing comparisons.

  • Assist with annual project budgeting and forecasting.

  • Ensure procurement policies and procedures are followed when appointing third-party suppliers.

  • Prepare and review construction, operational, and consultant reports.

  • Maintain accurate contractual, commercial, and project documentation.

  • Administer land lease agreements and other project-related service contracts.

  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, landowners, and legal advisors.

  • Prepare meeting minutes and monitor the completion of agreed actions.

  • Support the delivery of smaller projects from initiation through to completion and close-out.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • 4–7 years' experience in contract administration or commercial management within the construction industry.

  • Experience administering NEC, FIDIC, or EPC contracts.

  • Experience within the renewable energy or broader power sector will be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of EPC, O&M, PPA, and long-term service agreements.

  • Sound understanding of contract interpretation, cost control, procurement, and financial principles.

  • Experience managing contractual notices, payment certificates, contract variations, and claims.

  • Strong commercial writing, analytical, and numerical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
