Role Overview
Our client is an international renewable energy company specialising in the development, construction and operation of utility-scale Solar PV projects. With a growing portfolio of international projects, they are seeking a Junior Project Planner/Scheduler to work alongside and support the Lead Project Planner/Scheduler.
The role requires hands-on involvement in project planning and control, working closely with project teams across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, establish, maintain and update project baseline schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Collect and consolidate progress information from project managers, engineers, procurement teams and contractors.
Track project activities, milestones, deliverables and planned versus actual progress.
Prepare schedule updates and reports, including S-curves.
Track the critical path, identify schedule risks and potential delays, and monitor schedule variances.
Support the development and implementation of schedule recovery and mitigation plans.
Maintain accurate scheduling and project controls documentation.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure schedule information is accurate and up to date.
Requirements
3–4 years' experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
Experience planning utility-scale Solar PV projects is essential.
Experience working within an EPC project environment.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
Understanding of project management methodologies PMBOK and, or Prince 2
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project
Strong Excel and reporting skills.
Proven experience with S-curves and schedule reporting.
Good understanding of project schedules, dependencies, milestones, critical path and progress tracking
Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
