Role Overview

Our client is an international renewable energy company specialising in the development, construction and operation of utility-scale Solar PV projects. With a growing portfolio of international projects, they are seeking a Junior Project Planner/Scheduler to work alongside and support the Lead Project Planner/Scheduler.

The role requires hands-on involvement in project planning and control, working closely with project teams across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, establish, maintain and update project baseline schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

  • Collect and consolidate progress information from project managers, engineers, procurement teams and contractors.

  • Track project activities, milestones, deliverables and planned versus actual progress.

  • Prepare schedule updates and reports, including S-curves.

  • Track the critical path, identify schedule risks and potential delays, and monitor schedule variances.

  • Support the development and implementation of schedule recovery and mitigation plans.

  • Maintain accurate scheduling and project controls documentation.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure schedule information is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years' experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.

  • Experience planning utility-scale Solar PV projects is essential.

  • Experience working within an EPC project environment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.

  • Understanding of project management methodologies PMBOK and, or Prince 2

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project

  • Strong Excel and reporting skills.

  • Proven experience with S-curves and schedule reporting.

  • Good understanding of project schedules, dependencies, milestones, critical path and progress tracking

  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
