An established civil construction company is seeking a Site Engineer / Junior Site Agent to support the delivery of on-site civil, concrete and earthworks projects in the Erongo Region.
The successful candidate will act as a key link between site teams and senior management, ensuring works are planned, supervised and completed safely, to the required quality standards and within programme and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities, including concrete and earthworks works.
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to maintain progress against the construction programme.
Assist with short-term planning, tracking progress and reporting on site activities to senior management.
Monitor quality control requirements and ensure work is completed in line with drawings, specifications and approved methods.
Support the implementation and maintenance of site safety requirements.
Assist with cost control, measurement of completed works and preparation of payment certificates.
Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal project teams.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, quality documentation and relevant site correspondence.
Identify site issues, risks and delays early, and escalate these appropriately.
Travel as required across project sites within the Erongo Region.
Requirements
Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
At least three years’ relevant site-based experience within civil construction.
Practical exposure to concrete works and earthworks is essential.
Mining construction or mining-environment experience will be advantageous.
Working knowledge of site supervision, quality control, planning and basic cost control.
Experience coordinating subcontractors and engaging with clients or consultants.
Computer literacy is essential, including the MS Office Suite.
Exposure to Candy CCS and/or CAD will be advantageous.
Strong communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s licence; own vehicle will be advantageous.
Namibian citizenship is essential.
Must have a clean criminal record, be in good overall health and be willing to undergo a medical assessment.
Must have sober habits and be willing to travel within the Erongo Region.
